And now, The Weather!

Pretty damn grim to be honest.

At least I won’t be uncertain as to what the weather is going to be the next day.

Oh, and Wordpress has been updated to 2.6.2. I’m expecting AMAZING things! I’ll upgrade the ZED site soon(It’s more fragile than this as a lot of files have been changed, but I’ll get around to it.)

I got the new 2nd Generation iPod Touch. And although I’m geekish enough to know that I can get better for my money, I bought it anyways(for an insane price). Whopping in at 32GB storage(In which 2GB is reserved for the OS). I’m very pleased with the WiFi functionality and the accelerometers make for good fun with some of the apps in the Apps Store(Which is actually quite a good, quick, service).

Already I’ve got a bundle of neat apps and games.

Tap Tap Revenge is a really fun game actually. Utilising all the iPod’s gimmicks, it is free and has a lot of downloadable extra tracks. Fun fun.

There was a bit of drama getting it, the company that I bought it from, sent me the wrong model(I ordered the 2nd generation, they sent the 1st). But after some emails, we got everything sorted out and I am quite pleased with my new iPod.

The app store impressed me quite a bit, being Apple, I expected you to have to connect your iPod through iTunes, and download it via your computer. This can download free or commercial apps(All you need is your iTunes Store password) and it will bill you later. The time taken to download and install applications ranges from 3 seconds to 20

There still are a few nitpicks about it. I’m all for customisation(hence my Linux love) and with the iPod Touch you are quite limited. I just found out how to change the order of icons, and remove games. But the “wallpaper” you can use is only for the Locked screen. I’d quite liked to get a different background on the main screen, but this is not possible without “jailbreaking” your iPod. Which currently, I cannot do with this model.

Also Safari is very good, MUCH better than the PSP browser and I can declare that it is a fully fledged browser, almost. Websites load fine, Flash does work, there is a youtube application. But downloads aren’t possible. Downloading rars and zips would be very useful, but still, is not possible without jailbreaking your iPod. Hopefully Apple will add this functionality in, but I somehow doubt it.

Overall, I’m impressed with it, and although not worth the price tag, it certainly isn’t as crappy as some people were making it out to be.

It’s been awhile

Oh god it has been a LONG while.

This was my fault, sorta. I fucked something up with the site with .htaccess and other problems. Suffice to say, everything appears to be working now.

I’ll start adding more useless stuff now, woo!

I’m a big fan of soundtracks and game music. It amazes me that people can alter them and make them sound so much better, it amazes me even more that they will do it for free, at a very good quality.
